AASA, A Professional Organization for car Exporters

We are an international association of professional trading, shipping, forwarding and exporting companies from the United States, Canada and overseas, mostly involved in exporting motor vehicles.

All privileged members of AASA are entitled to participate in the AASA VIN confidentiality program.

Safeguarding your complete export transaction from being divulged to third parties can be important for your company’s continued ability to both buy and sell vehicles in the future and to protect your suppliers.

All AASA members automatically receive membership in our sister organization, the North American Automobile Trade Association (www.naata.org). AASA and NAATA have an agreement whereby all members automatically receive membership in both associations. There is only one sign-up process and membership dues only have to be paid once.

There are two categories of membership. Only privileged members may participate in the AASA VIN confidentiality program to protect VINs on exported vehicles from being disclosed to third parties. Normally this information is released by U.S. Customs authorities. Please contact us to learn more about keeping your exported VINs confidential.

Joining AASA

You can choose from two membership categories: Privileged or Associate, depending on what is appropriate for you:

1. Privileged members: This category is for exporters of both new and used vehicles. You participate with the AASA VIN confidentiality program on all of your car shipments, including RO/RO and containers, from all ports of the USA. You also receive all of the benefits of Associate membership below and receive reciprocal membership in the North American Automobile Trade Association. Annual membership fee is USD 1,680.-- per year.
   
2. Associate members: Associate members are not protected shippers under our VIN confidentiality program. All associate members receive a complimentary listing in the NAATA Directory of cross-border motor vehicle specialists to promote your business to vehicle exporters, suppliers and importers at no additional charge, along with discounts on delegate fees to the annual conference, which will take place in Miami at the end of October. Associate members receive the electronic newsletter and . Annual membership fee is USD 600.--
