AASA, A Professional Organization for car Exporters

We are an international association of professional trading, shipping, forwarding and exporting companies from the United States, Canada and overseas, mostly involved in exporting motor vehicles.

All privileged members of AASA enjoy the following privileges:

• Exclusive Safeguarding of all your car export shipments from any Port in the USA
  With our exclusive agreement which was reached in U.S. Federal district court, none of the vehicles shipped by an AASA privileged member will have their VIN#’s, shipper or exporter name, nor vehicle published, or released to anyone including the manufacturers. The whole export of your vehicle will be kept confidential. Safeguarding your complete export transaction from divulging will be extremely vital for your company’s continued ability to both buy and sell vehicles in the future and to protect your suppliers.

• Shipping Rates
  AASA offers members the lowest shipping rates available on the market for all destinations in Europe and worldwide through our AASA forwarders.

• Transport Insurance
  In addition, AASA offers every member a general transport insurance policy issued by Allianz Switzerland Insurance Company. This exclusive policy for all AASA members offers excellent terms and conditions covering all risks on a door-to-door basis at unbeatable rates.

• International Network
  AASA coordinates efforts to defeat the monopolistic trademark law ( "Markenschutzgesetz") in the European Union (EU), and is working to ease the EU-Homologation standards for imported cars from the USA. We are continuously working closely with all international organizations. AASA members are also invited to attend the yearly international EAIVT car dealer congress.

• Free Trade
  AASA is actively involved in preventing the US car manufacturers from expanding their sales restrictions and prohibitions to their franchised dealers in regard to exporters and resellers of new vehicles. We advocate a free, competitive trade for the benefit of consumers world wide and free international trade.

Joining AASA

Our general meetings are open to all members and are scheduled once a year. You can choose from two membership categories: Privileged or associate, depending on what is appropriate for you:

1. New members: This category is for exporters of both new and used vehicles. You participate with full shipping and confidentiality privileges of all your car shipments, including RO/RO and containers, from all ports of the USA, including our freight and insurance rates. Discount trucking is also available on certain routes. Annual membership fee is USD 1,200.-- per year.

2. Associate members: This category is reserved for our supporters and open to freight forwarders, service companies, vendors, truck and transport companies, insurance agents and any other persons, companies, or organizations who wish to support the export business, receive our bulletins and attend our meetings. Associate members are not protected shippers under our confidentiality shipping contract. All associate members and their services are listed in our general membership roster that is distributed to all members. Annual membership fee is USD 500.--
