Invitation to join AASA

This letter is an invitation for you to join our international association of professional trading, shipping, forwarding and car export companies from North America.

Being a privileged member of the association will allow you to participate in the AASA VIN confidentiality program which can help prevent your VINs and shipper/exporter name from being published and released to manufacturers and third parties. Safeguarding your export transactions are important for your company’s continued ability to buy and sell vehicles in the future.

We work closely with our sister organizations in Europe i.e. EAIVT, BIRF, VFAS, AIAA, BIMT and the North American Automobile Trade Association to ensure that there is a fee market for independent vehicle dealers around the world. Your membership in AASA also entitles you to membership in the North American Automobile Trade Association thanks to our joint membership agreement.

Every year all our members are invited to the International EAIVT Congress which is attended by hundreds of car dealers and to NAATA’s International Dealer Conference, which attracts the leading vehicle exporters, importers and suppliers from around the world.

Our export businesses face many challenges. As a member of AASA, your ideas and proposals for action are welcome, and being in the association gives you and your fellow members a stronger platform and voice from which to address the issues to mutual benefit and interest.

There are two membership options:

1. Privileged Members This category is for exporters of both new and used vehicles. You participate with the AASA VIN confidentiality program on all of your car shipments, including RO/RO and containers, from all ports of the USA. You also receive all of the benefits of Associate membership below and receive reciprocal membership in the North American Automobile Trade Association. Annual membership fee is USD 1,680.-- per year.
2. Associate Members 1. Associate members are not protected shippers under our VIN confidentiality program. All associate members receive a complimentary listing in the NAATA Directory of cross-border motor vehicle specialists to promote your business to vehicle exporters, suppliers and importers at no additional charge, along with discounts on delegate fees to the annual conference, which will take place in Miami at the end of October. Associate members receive the electronic newsletter. Annual membership fee is USD 600.--
